Is the fact that she wants to look at everything all at once indicative of early onset ADHD?
If I let her bear weight on her legs this young, will she turn out bowlegged?
I can't see her neck; does she even have a neck? Or will she turn out to be one of those weird, no-necked people?
What the hell is that rash?
Why is she licking me? Does she have pica?
She's not interested in toys; why not?
Is the arm waving normal?
She consistently tries to put her foot in her own poop; should I be concerned?
Why is she sneezing? Why is she coughing? If she starts to choke, what do I do?
She doesn't look anything like either of us. Did we pick up the wrong baby?
Why is she crying?
Why is she crying now?
No really, are you sure she isn't hungry? Cuz she's crying again.
Shouldn't she be sleeping longer?
Why is she sleeping so long?
And how come she smiles and coos so much? Should I be concerned?

gurl you have me laughing but you know all that worry go with the territory.
ReplyDeletebabies got sensitive skin so pay attention much will irritate them, especially the pee and poo against their skin.
babies mouth is how they experience the world, its all about the mouth, licking is on that list, wait till she gets older everything will go in the mouth.
Take a first aid/CPR class both you ahd your partner it will help to relieve some your stress and worry.
Crying is how they communicate because they don't have speech, their cries have meaning as youy learn about her you will learn which cries means what. You know which cry means am hungry, am dirty, am hurting. Just trust yourself and learn your child and all will be alright.
sleeping varies, sometimes they will sleep 3/4 sometimes it will be 4/5. If you worried just do periodic checks.
Enjoy parenthood, there is no perfect way, just do your best and do not compare yourself.
take care...
peace...
